The 2018 Otter Half-Mile was held at Henley Sailing Club, Wargrave on Friday 20 July.

After many weeks of unusually hot and dry British weather the evening was rather dull and cloudy yet the rain held off and a good social evening was had by the 38 guests in attendance.

This was the first handicap event of the 2018 season and had a traditional handicap start with swimmers starting at pre-defined intervals as determined by the Hon. Handicapper. 25 swimmers finished the course which was proudly won by Nico Barber, now a second time winner of this event having also won in 2015.

Nico was followed home by Gina Hobson, 12 seconds behind and Madelline Parra, 31 seconds. Full results can be found here.
