Otter brought Liverpools perfect record of 16 wins to an end with a 7 all draw in a thrilling first match of the new Super 5's campaign at Luton Saturday. Otter led 3-0 in the second quarter and, although Liverpool pulled up to 4-4 towards the end of the third, Otter went into the last minute of the game with a 7-5 lead. Otter were unable to hold on for the win, letting Liverpool score twice in the last 51 seconds, with two extra man goals, to level the game. Kathy Rogers kick started Otters game in the opening seconds Sunday, stealing the ball in defense before swimming away to score. And from that point Otter never looked back. The team cruised to a 6-1 lead at the first break, before edging out to 9-1 at half time. The third quarter was a tighter 3-2 but then Otter put their foot back on the gas for a 5-1 last quarter. 8 different Otters got their name on the scorecard with some well executed team goals. But it was Otters defense that won the game, holding Coventry to just 4 goals: One penalty, 2 Extra man conversions & one in even play. After two games Otter narrowly hold the best defensive record in the division, with in 11 goals against, vs Liverpools 12, Manchesters 14, Leeds 25 & Coventrys 28.
