Congratulations to Hayley Davis and Pip Bennett who both took a clean sweep of the events at the National Masters Open Water Championships, held in Peterborough today (1 September).
Both won all three events in their age group - 5km, 3km and 2km - and together, they were two of only eight swimmers who swam all three events.
Hayley, celebrating her 35th birthday was the fastest female in the 5km, winning her age group (35-39) by over seven minutes. She then comfortably won her age group 3km and was again fastest female in the 2km, winning her age group by over five minutes.
Pip, also in the 35-39 age group won his age group 5km by just two seconds in a sprint finish and followed up with more comfortable wins in the 3km and 2km.
