COMPETITIONS
The focus of Otters competitive season is The British Waterpolo League, British Championships, The LEN European League & National Age Group Championships. In addition the Otter squad also play in London summer & winter leagues, friendlies, & intra squad scrimmages.
The LEN European League
The LEN Euro League is the top club competition for Women’s waterpolo teams in Europe. Otter have competed in the League every year since 2012. Travelling to Imperia (ITA), Patras (GRE), Seville (ESP), Nijverdal (NED) & Porto (POR) to compete against the best professional teams in Europe. In 2016 the Euro League round games took place from the 4th - 7th February.
The British Water Polo League League (BWPL)
Otter have two teams who compete in the BWPL. The Otter 1st team competes in the top division with Otter Lutra playing in the second division.
Phase 1 of the league runs from September – November
Phase 2 of the league runs from November – February 2

The British Championships
The British Water Polo Championships is the final event in the national club water polo calendar, where the top four women's teams from the BWPL Super 5's play off in a semi final / final format to be crowned British Champions. Otter have competed in the British Championships every year since 2012, finishing 2nd in 2012, 2014 & 2016. The competition is held at the end of the BWPL season, usually in May.
The National Age Group Championships
The ASA National Age Group Water Polo Championships is the premiere competition for young water polo players in Great Britain. The Championships are contested in three different age groups – Academy (U15s), Youth (U17s) and Junior (U19s) with the U17s and U19s held at the start of the year and the U15s in the Autumn. Otter Junior ladies teams have had great results at the NAG championships over the past two years. The U/19s are the 2016 National Age Group Champions after being Silver medalists in 2015, & finishing 3rd in 2014. The U17s won the National Age Youth Championship in 2014 & 2015 & made the finals again in 2016. 2015 was the first time Otter entered the U/15s championships. Otter 01's won the National Age Academy Championships while the Otter 02's development team finished in 6th place.
